Kumanessa is a real gymnastics program in the heart of Coconut Grove. We cater to children from 4 to 11 years old. We are a non competitive program. This means no meets or travel but just pure conditioning and gymnastics training in the four disciplines (floor, vault, bars and balance beam). Our objective is to teach children and preteens the foundations and skills that they need to excel in any sport that they decide to do later in life. We give them the confidence that their bodies and minds are ready for any sport.
Elena Irazu is the founder of Kumanessa Gymnastics. A professional gymnast, three-time national champion, that competed for 10 years representing her home country in the international arena in World Cup, Bolivarian, Central American and Caribbean Games. She also, prior to founding the program was a gymnastics coach in various schools for 9 years, a gymnastics judge at inter-state and inter school competitions and a gymnastics Olympic TV commentator for the most important TV network of her country of origin.
